The beginning of the project was not to design a one-off building, but to secure locality and create a 'hotel brand' for a community-friendly lifestyle. This concept led to empathy and communication with the client in that it is the only way for local brand hotels to be sustainable, and ultimately we were able to move towards the same direction.


EDITIONS was replaced by a proper noun with the meaning of EDITION containing the local characteristics, and was named EDITION-S to mean a set of these proper nouns. Brands try to return various events and experiences to consumers through active collaboration with local designers as well as nearby commercial districts and local governments in order to have each regional character.


  The program of the hotel is to create hospitality and various experiences for visitors. As for the design, I tried to talk about minimalism as much as possible with the secondary elements that followed. I would like to talk about the sustainability of design with the original elegance of symmetry, lattice, and order. 80 rooms are open to 100% ocean view, and each room's balcony is provided as a space where you can feel nature. EDITIONS creates its own individuality by incorporating both the architectural characteristics of an urban hotel and a natural hotel.
